For visitors who don't wish to cook at all, the Port Charlotte Hotel or the Loch Indaal Hotel, both merely a short walk along the road from An Cala, offer excellent alternatives for lunches, bar meals, dinners or a bolthole for a quick dram !

An Cala has an equally spacious kitchen/dining room which is the hub of the house, and home of the oil-fired Esse range. The range provides constant hot water and runs the heating radiators.

The Esse requires no attention whatsoever, and guests are welcome to cook on its hob and use the oven. There is also an electric cooker with fan oven and grill, and a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
