Driving or cycling to Port Charlotte from the ferry port or airport is very straightforward.
Leave the arrival port, and follow signs towards Bridgend or Bowmore. Drive on to Bridgend and there take the signed turning towards Bruichladdich and Portnahaven, continuing towards Port Charlotte along the road which closely follows the shoreline. Pass through Bruichladdich village, and continue straight on to Port Charlotte.
Enter the village over a small bridge, and take the first turning on the left immediately after passing the Port Charlotte Hotel, going downhill and bearing right.
An Cala is located on Shore Street, on the right side and about halfway along.
Travelling by bus, take the bus directly from the ferry terminal or airport and change in Bowmore for Port Charlotte.
